Foreign nationals entering Vietnam with cash amounts of 5,000 USD (or equivalent) or more, or 15,000,000 VND (or equivalent) or more, must declare it at the customs checkpoint.
2. The penalty for violations.
Accordingly, if a foreign national enters Vietnam with cash exceeding the specified limit and does not declare it at customs, they may be fined from 1,000,000 to 20,000,000 VND, depending on the excess amount.
