Bird Watching Tour

8:00 AM: Start from your hotel in the Old Quarter with a private car and tour guide. The journey is approximately 120km southeast of Hanoi. You will first travel on city roads to exit Hanoi, navigating through bustling traffic filled with motorbikes. Then, you will continue via the expressway until you reach the first destination, Van Long Nature Reserve.

Upon arrival at Van Long, you will board a traditional bamboo boat (two people per boat), and a local rower will guide you through the reserve. You will have the opportunity to observe various fauna and flora, including lily flowers and water spinach. You may also spot popular bird species such as white storks, sparrows, warblers, coucals, and coots. After 1.5 hours on the boat, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant located in a family house.

After lunch and a short rest, you will return to the car for a 45-minute drive to the Bird Valley in Ninh Binh. Once there, you will walk along a forest trail for about 2km to reach the bird-watching point. In this area, you will see a wide variety of birds, including storks, pelicans, bitterns, kingfishers, drakes, cranes, and flamingos. The late afternoon is the best time to observe the birds as they return to the valley after a day of foraging for food.

Around 5:00 PM, you will return to the car and head back to Hanoi, arriving around 8:30 PM.
