History of Hanoi in Day
HANOI CITY (lunch)
At 8.00 tour guide and driver come to pick you up on private car, you have chance to see romantic traditional Hanoi at early morning time with hard working people. You will visit Thang Long imperial citadel which was built from 11 century and a lot of historical relics. You can see D67 house with deep tunnel where the Vietnamese army leaders meet and order to the battle of the War at American War. The next is Huu Tiep lake which is Unique B52 Body shoot down in Hanoi, Enjoy some B52 coffee if you want. Walking to Botanical Garden with many old big trees to refresh up before go to lunch.
After the lunch continue your trip with Ho Chi Minh mausoleum where Vietnamese government keeps Ho Chi Minh corpse. Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is a complex of many building including president house and Ho Chi Minh pillar house where he lived until passing away. You will walk around here in 1,5 hours.
The last destination is Hoa Lo prision which was built by the French in 1896 and then was used to keep US pilots from 1964 to 1973 by Vietnamese government.
You will do rickshaw around 50 minutes around 36 ancient streets of old quarter of Hanoi before enjoy water puppet show which is the most traditional entertainment of local people for thousand years ago.
Note: If you want to visit Ho Chi Minh mausoleum in the morning to see his body, you must tell your tour guide first in order to arrange it.
